Cacao Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

Serves 2


• 2 cups whole milk


• 2 tablespoons cacao powder


• 2 tablespoons honey or real maple syrup


• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


• Pinch of kosher salt

Directions

  1. Pour the milk into a saucepan with the cacao powder and sweetener of choice.

  2. Turn the heat to medium and continually whisk as the mixture heats up. Be sure to break up any lumps that form.

  3. Remove the hot chocolate from the heat.

  4. Add the vanilla extract and salt. Whisk again.

  5. Divide among two mugs and serve.
