• 2 cups whole milk
• 2 tablespoons cacao powder
• 2 tablespoons honey or real maple syrup
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Pinch of kosher salt
- Pour the milk into a saucepan with the cacao powder and sweetener of choice.
- Turn the heat to medium and continually whisk as the mixture heats up. Be sure to break up any lumps that form.
- Remove the hot chocolate from the heat.
- Add the vanilla extract and salt. Whisk again.
- Divide among two mugs and serve.
